Being a newbie/lamo with the event/tourney circuit here, I'm going to devirginize myself at the Silver Lake event.  Couldn't find any registration information for the event and hoping deadlines haven't passed.  Would also be into the delta event, but not sure what the "tiki" is in reference to as I'm a delta newbie this year as well.  It's a newbie type a year.

Not to worry, you're not late.  There will be an official "Roll-Call"put out by Yakhopper himself a week or so before each of the tournaments.  I'd have to believe he's probably got the ARW event on his mind right now.

Why not also fish the ARW? it's right in your backyard? or stop on by and meet the gang!

Ha!  That's what a dumbass I am.  I was trying to figure out what the hell "ARW" stood for.....yea,....stupid.   

I'm coming out for that one too!  Have never fished for hali buts, but no time like now to learn!

don't worry bout that... I still don't know what some of the abbreviation mean.....

and you can always do a google search on "How to catch Halibut in the SF Bay" or "Halibut Rigs".

or just go down to your local tackle store and buy there pre-made Hali rigs, then duplicate the with better terminal gear....

and lastly, check out the previous years events and see what people were using...

Eric,
 I was able to meet Mike the Ocean Kayak rep up at White Pines Lake. I thanked him for the awesome kayak! He went on to give a litle more info on the 4.7 and relationship with the 4.3 I was suprised to hear that the 4.3 is wider and more stable? Well  I still love mine. Can't wait to head up to Silver Lake for the next one.
