what lb test line do you guys usually use when trolling a rapala J7 or J9?  I'm guessing anywhere from 4-6lbs is ok, right?

anyone try using these seps pro flashers before?  are they worth trying or should I just stick to the dodgers?  I've been trying to find some more info or videos on how fast they should be trolled and what type of presentation they should have if trolled properly, but no luck as of yet.

I have about 30 sets of flashers and used to do great with them (hence 30 sets) using a 2 ft' leader with a threaded crawler.

Since have gone with the simpler dodger crawler/hoochie/wedding ring/bug set ups.

Flashers may just be the ticket to a full limit now.

So its my understanding that the flashers should spin rather than move side to side like the dodgers.  Couldn't find info on ideal trolling speeds after searching through the threads.  Is it trolled about the same speed as dodgers or faster?

Flashers are not as speed sensitive as dodgers. I don't use flashers anymore because they tend to have more drag than dodgers. I usually have one rod with just a lure and the other with a dodger and lure and have caught the same number of fish on both. I think in stained water, dodgers are probably helpful.
