Oyster Point Tournament Update - More reasons to go!

I just spoke to Tim, our Hobie rep, and he's going to supplying some prizes.  He's also trying to make arrangements with a local dealer to have some of Hobie's most popular fishing kayaks available for demo.  So if you're interested in the new Hobie Mirage Adventure, an Outback, or a Quest, you may get a chance to try'em out on derby day (Saturday, May 13th).

Mike at the Oyster Point Marina Bait Shop says fishing conditions are improving.  More halibut being caught daily and sturgeon fishing is still outstanding.  Last weekend 6 sturgeon were caught and landed off the fishing pier.

Bill is setting up online derby registration so you can pay through PayPal.  The page should be up soon.

If you're planning to participate, please let us know... so we can plan accordingly.  We need a headcount so we'll know how many hamburger and hotdogs to buy for the BBQ.

California Canoe & Kayak donated over a dozen very nice dry bags as prizes.  Right now, we may have more prizes than participants.

Thanks for the info on paying the day of, Bill.  As slow as I am getting ready to launch, I plan on being VERY early, so it should all work out.
