Cold weather wimp? Hard to get out there this year? Man up or give up??!!?!?

Am I the only one looking outside and thinking... Dang it's cold out there and I still have to get everything ready. Then go sit in the cold just to fish!!!!!! Anyone have good motivational phrases, quips that might help me and others get out there Things have been real mellow with the women folk around my house so it's been nice to hang out at home.... I'll start "If I don't get off my butt and dig out my kayak it might get buried to deep in the garage to find it again"

Pick up a drysuit and some polartec underwear.

I know how you feel but it's real simple for me ... I don't get many opportunities with 2 children under the age of 5 so I can't pass them up when they come around.

Take cold showers and sleep infrozen underwear.  Your wetsuit will start looking might toasty...

I hear ya, especially for us that freedive.  We have to lube up our wetsuits to get in.  It helps when its hot water that we bring for those 37 degree mornings.

Well, since you asked what goes on in my strange head...I always think of the guy at 20-30sec in the video.  I think, "All I have to do is fish, at least I dont have to fight Nazis for days on end."

IMO: it's really all about dressing to the occasion  And if you want to earn an NCKA Storm Trooper Badge, you need to man-up 

* I have had more fun camping in storm conditions with NCKA'ers that I have ever have....the stories are just priceless and the memories of it still put a smile in my face

I got up yesterday with the intentions of heading out, but when I saw 29 deg. decided to take care of some things around the house .
It finally felt like January, and didn't want to miss SLR due to a cold.
If you're in the AOTY race, this is one of those oppertunities you should take advantage of, There won't be many this year
