what set up works best for you

I was wondering what set up works really good for everyone as far as type of line and what size. also hooks I'm just starting to kayak fish and just started on this forum just looking for advice. for the most part i fish for striper and trout haven't went to the ocean yet but will do soon.

Every fish, and every technique, require different equipment. I know that is general, but mostly true. Your question is very hard to answer in the way you asked. IMHO

The best advise i can give is to go with what you know catches fish. there are many variables for different species and different bodies of water obviously. You will learn what to present as you target and catch other species  if you know what you have caught them on or know what they want to hit. Offer it up! go with the line you know is going to get them in the boat.
