                              TEAM SIGN-UP PROCEDURE

To avoid anymore confusion and save me unnecessary time and effort,
 PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. Register with Eric by 4/12/12
2. When your name appears on Erics' REGISTERED LIST,
    PM me with screen name, full name, and approved team choice.
    (You need to be approved by one or more members of an existing team)
    (You can also start a new team of 2-10 members)
3. Once I have received your PM, I will put you on your team and your IN.

You do not need to be in the team comp. to be eligible to fish,
 but you do need to fish with someone with a VHF for safety puposes

If I have missed someone that is REGISTERED and PMed me,
you want to start a new team,
I put someone on wrong team,
or your on a team and can't make it,
 PM me.

I will be at Erics' safety/intro meeting at the launch
and at the campground Friday evening for teams
needing to make final adjustments.
No team adds or drops will be accepted after 9:00 p.m. Fri.
(unless I'm still awake and you bring some bribe payola, gear or beer)

TEAM TOURNEY RULES
1. Team Average Format
    Total team points divided by the number of anglers on team=Team score
2. All scores on the team will be averaged,
     whether an angler fished or not,
     posted a score or not,
     got skunked or not
     or was a no show.
3. Late scores will not be accepted.
    Once The main board closes it's done.

Finally,
 Some of you know I'm not the "competitive type" when it comes to fishing.
I started the Team Tourney component of Gimme Shelter last year (Thanks Eric!)
as a way for me to personally give back to the community (NCKA) and tournament (Gimme Shelter)
that has been so influencial in my life over the past 5 years.
It's my hope that we can "compete" in the true spirit of sportsmanship,
to congratulate and celebrate the victorious and come to the realization
that we are all winners when we are on the water together persuing our passion!

Word, Brother Tad - nice work.   

And in case you didn't notice, an engraved placquard will be added to a perpetual Trophy Trough each year with the name of the winning team.  The perpetual Trough stays with Abking and may accumulate scales, slime and blood throughout the year.     It's also the official measuring device for the tournament check-in.  Yes, Sherlock, there are two 48"+ Trophy Troughs.   

Eric and Tad thanks for all of your hard work.   The local crabbers are reporting that they are seeing lots of salmon, so it looks like this is going to be the year of the salmon just like abking has been writing about.

OK check is in the mail!! STOKED!!! I am looking for a Team that is willing to take in a stray (me) .Will clean fish for spot on seasoned Team !!!! LOL. I have a VHF , but fishing with some experienced guys would be great.  . I plan on bringing my wife and kids and was curious if any one else on bringing family. The family is not participating in tourney , some shore fishing, tidepools and kite flying is the plan .  Iam looking forward to metting all the people that participate on this awsome site!!!!!!!!!!!
