Right on...we need the Birddog there.

Hi Guys,

I'm considering joining the party at GS6, but my regular fishing buddy Mudshark will have a new puppy then and does not want to leave the dog at home with his girlfriend.  I want to go, and would like to car pool with someone heading up from the Sacramento area.  I don't mind driving, but would like to split gas and a camp site.  Shoot me a PM.

Joe

Joe- My unlce and cousin might be bailin on me. I have a tent trailer and will be heading up from the Yuba City area. I am in for a car pool campsite spli.

Nice work Abman.  I'm in thanks for the ride pinseeker.  I'll have to bird dog up a nice shelter flatty while up there.  I've never fished SC before so it'll be pretty much a learning experience for me.  You guys need any raffle stuff this year?  I might be able to score some duck stuff.  I have some duck art I could donate to the raffle, or maybe some hunting swag?

Dennis Spike is conducting a raffle benefiting a sportfishing group - you may want to PM him with your offer.  I'm glad you're coming up - hopefully we'll see more than a few flatties and some salmon too.   :smt001

Eric and all NCKA peeps,

Am ultra jacked to attend THE event of the year and hang, fish and dive with you all. THIS is going to be a ripping adventure! The water calls to me like a siren. Time to feed the stoke! The check is in the mail.

Still trying to decide what to haul down from Oregon and cook up for the Saturday potluck.  I've read about a lot of the great stuff you guys whip up there, and I'm dieing to get some of it.  Seriously!

I want to contribute to the feast for sure, so what do you think of a huge pile of stir fried cabbage?
Anyone have a favorite recipe I you recommend....spicy, sweet, garlic infused?

I built this 24" disc last year to quick fry 10-15 corn tortillas at at time for the NWKA 2011 ORC fish taco fest.  We made roughly 250-300 tacos in roughly 2 hours.  It should be able to fry up a huge amount of cabbage that would go with just about anything else provided, right?

Jim, sorry to have missed you. My first time down there and it was awesome! Best vis was near thirty feet! Had an ear acting up beyond 25 feet and it quashed my hopes of a 60 ft drop :( but I did hang out at 45. Matt shot a couple of kings and I look forward to a return triP with you. Yes. We must grab Eric up and paddle to some abalone bliss.

INSAYN - that looks like a killer setup!  Can't wait to see it in action, and you should hook up with Kayakjack's Taco Stand.   :smt001

I could that, this thing can pump out the hot tortillas pretty quick!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes if they are already the tortilla fry cook from GS's past.

So, if Kayakjack requests my service, I'll be happy to fry the corn frisbees.   :smt003

It would be totally awesome to have fresh hand-made tortillas for the taco-shack. I highly encourage and thoroughly recommend you bring that beautiful disc and join us at the taco-shack.

Then it will be done!   :smt023

Handmade, not exactly.   However they are as fresh as right out of the bag and into some shallow hot oil to ripen to perfection.
Making them really fresh fresh would require me to hire a team of ladies to assist me.

Wait!

There will be ladies there, correct?

If you can get me a small dedicated team of Chicas to work in harmony making the tortillas by hand, I'll continue their journey through the disc and out to happy hungry fisherman.
I've never made them that fresh, and have no idea what we would need in the way of product/recipe.
