Same here!  Hated not being up there but I spent the weekend down in Atherton watching my daughters hoops tournament.  (almost as fun.. :smt005)    I have to wonder if people are all still stuck in traffic..  southbound 101 looked like it was  CRAWLING from just past santa rosa to the GG bridge.    Luckily we were going the other way.

I spent the whole ride home checking for updates and pics on my droid.. lol

First and formost i wanna appoligize for any thing i did or said to any one and every one!! Friday night was a blurr... the camp ground host had to enlighten me on my actiions...and im totaly feel a great deal of remorse for that!! yes people i have issues.. im human but its no excuse for my actions .. bottom line !!! i feel that i realy let a lot of people down and thats just not me!!!
As for saturday when i flipped my yak i was in a total panic.. i had been in the water wich had felt like a long time!! i paniced cause i was tangled up on my leashs and throw rope which i have no idea how it got out of my crate! i was tangled up till i got to shore with hook n right foot, lost my knife during the spill, i was exhausted and honestly out right fear full... that was by far the bigest wipe out i have personaly had! As for the brother who tryed to help me i am so sorry i couldnt return to give u a hand.. i dont know if i was still in panic mode but still no excuse not to give a hand !!! im turely sorry for all and every actions and non actions that occured during that weekend!! last weekend was realy a eye opener for me... good and bad..... never turn ur back on the ocean and never turn ur back on friends...cause i feel the wrath of both right now!!! im sorry for all my actions bottom line!!! i cant put it in to words how bad i feel ...

Let the healing begin.

Easy for me to say since I wasn't involved.

I said in a previous post that drunks do stupid things, as do people who's life is in imminent danger. It is not an excuse for what took place, however we all make mistakes.

This community is all about helping people in need.

Anthony (zingthing) fell... lets do what NKCA does and help him back up.

I'm down with that if zingthing can commit to letting people help him not drink too much - you down with that, Anthony?

Anthony: A small donation from you, to Sonny, to help replace the $1000.00 of fishing gear he lost, only because he wanted to help you. That will help towards healing the wound.

Anthony,

You may not remember me from Friday night...and I get that. I have been there and done that and have struggled and still struggle with my own demons.

I'm willing to forgive you for what you did up at Shelter, but others on here may not be so quick to forgive until you show that you are trying to make things better.

Admitting you done wrong and apologizing is the right start.

Next step in my opinion is reaching out to Sonny who risked his life to save you and seeing what you can do to help him with replacing some of the gear and $$ he lost out there trying to save you.

I hope your future actions will show all on here that you are trying to do the right thing and make amends.

I wish you the best of luck.

Sincerely,

Jim

Anthony, thanks for reaching out to the group it means quite a bit to us all. As others have mentioned Sonny deserves a call or PM. He will say its not a big deal he may be the most humble person on the site....I'd say buy him a beer....but perhaps a nice bro hug is better all things considered.  :smt044

Really happy you posted.

Anthony you may not have met Sonny. Should you want to send him a PM, his screen name is 'sailfish'. Here is a picture of him OTW at the 'Cove'.

+1 to Hobiedave's suggestion of a donation to help Sonny recover his equipment loss.
