Art, you are so clueless....you have no idea how much more of superior of an athlete the underpaid pro beach volleyball player is over an over paid whiny pro baseball player.

Here's a test for you. Go to a park and ask some random 13 year old to throw a baseball to you at 10 feet away. I bet he'll succeed on his first throw. Now ask that same kid to spike a volleyball directly at you. I bet he misses on his first try. Dinner at Hokkaido on u!!!!

EWB...Jeff's down sleeping bag / jacket may look funny but it's all about functionality and not about looking like Justin Bieber  :smt002

Joel, That is what cool fishing patches are for. Sew one on over the hole, better than new!!! How about one of those Dive/no shark patches. And they are soooo 80's....... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044  On the Volleyball thread, Is a hard sport to excel and compete in, but fun to play on the beach :smt045 Have to have gals of the b-d cup range to make it real interesting :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

as a professional rose grower, I can tell you that nothing holds up to roses over time.  We buy chainsaw chaps to put on harvesters legs, and after a few weeks they are a mess.

Uhhhh....there's 13 yeaor old girls on my daughters volleyball team that can spike a ball accurately.  Alot of average players in SC on the weekend can spike a ball.  Ask any grown man to get a base hit off a professional pitcher, or even catch a fly ball......not gonna happen.

Beach volleyball can be entertaining, as weimarian so eloquently put it, but a sport it is not....I rest my case....pho on you.

Orale primo, ask yourself this....why do you never see a volleyball court in a public park? You'll ALWAYS see a basketball court, baseball diamond / scoccer field and maybe an occasional tennis court. Volleyball is not an easy sport to learn and play PROPERLY (key word) . I know, cause I played all these sports mentioned and I can honestly say vball is the least played by many kids cause it can be very frustrating. If were easy, EVERYONE would be playing it  :smt045

Yup, I used to go Santa Cruz every weekend during the summer and played competitive doubles on the beach. Held a AA ranking before my knees started to give away...and that's when my kayak fishing "madness" took over and I never looked back  :smt045
