Headed out to Mather Lake this morning to do a little bass fishing. On the water 8am, off 10:30am.
Windy and overcast this morning. I thought I might get rained on, but stayed dry. I got a few good tugs on my Senkos, nothing hooked. Loaded up, picked up a burger and headed to Folsom lake.

On the water at Folsom around 11:30am, off 1:30pm. I was surprised how many boats were on the lake. Lots of trailers in the parking lot. I was able to park on the bank next to the water line at Dyke 8. The lake is looking better with cleaner water and getting fuller again. I fished the coves towards the dam. Headed back when the wind started picking up. Caught nothing.

Two lakes, no fish, had a good time anyway.

Mather lake is in Rancho Cordova near Sunrise and Douglas. It's a small lake (or large pond) that gets thick vegetation in the summer. I've caught some nice bass there before....but not today. Might need to get a little warmer.

I almost called you to see if you wanted to fish Folsom today Al, but my projects around here took longer than expected.
Sorry to hear about the zero. At least you have me beat this year, 0-7. next time you head to Folsom or Rancho Seco give me a shout beforehand.
