Does anyone own one of these 2 speed reels? I'm looking for some feedback; pros and cons to purchasing one. They're listed as trolling reels but i'd like to use as an all purpose reel from vertical jigging for RF to dead sticking for dinos, etc.

once the reel is properly serviced and upgraded, i give it extremely high marks.  not straight out of the box, though.  alan

I do own Tyrnos 8 II.  I bought it for sturgeon fishing (on kayak of course).  It's small but heavy reel...  only caught small rockfish on the party boat so far.

Thank you for the great info, Alan!
now, how much for the service & upgrade?  I'm very interested (before the sturgeon season up here)...
