I dont think that there is a regulation onthe amount of poles used for stripers inthe ocean. I have seen people use multiple poles on the beaches for them, and people use two poles down southto take yellow tail and whit sea bass on kayaks. I think that if you use two poles from a kayak though you are taking a risk, even if you dont get a double hook up you have to deal with the other line in the water.

Yeah J I am pretty sure you are correct as long as your story is believable to the DFG agent.

Taylor is right though, 2 rods is way more of a pian that it is worth...

it would be nice to not have to reel in to cast to a boil tho. and nice to have something out while you
are searching for the boil.

but yeah, two rods can be more trouble than it's worth often.

Be careful trolling close to shore on the N. side of the cove.  I was out there last year and a kayaker got caught inside the break.  He had a heck of a time getting his kayak.  I boogie board came for the assist and really helped him out.  It is pretty easy to get caught - I found myself going from 20'+ to ~12' in no time.  Barely made it over the top!

yeah, exactly, sounds exciting!  :smt005.

but I would leave the electronics at home in case you do get washed in.

well I have spent numbers of years trying to sit exactly where
they do break, so hopefully I'll be a good judge of where they don't
break although it can be tricky even for the experienced.

the bouy page makes it look like a peaceful ocean out there today and
the forecast is for flatness tomorrow. even if the wind comes up, it shouldn't
be too dangerous.
