Damn, you guys are LUCKY!
Good job getting the hell outta there after the feeding attempt.
I haven't gone there in the Fall on purpose.
Wow, what an experience!

By no means do I ever want to see this happen again, but I do think we will see some GoPro footage of this type of attack at some point.  More and more guys fishing from their yaks and more and more are starting to capture all their escapades via hd video.  Thank god nobody has been seriously "physically" hurt locally yet that I am aware of.   Lots of scares this year for sure.

The landlord could have at least left a tooth behind as a souvenier.  Incredible story - thank goodness, happy ending.  Glad you guys will be fishing another day.

Yikes, that's frickin' nuts!  Glad to hear about this from you guys rather than reading about it from a family member, could've been a whole lot worse.  I bet that turkey dinner tomorrow is going to taste a whole lot better!

Those waters in that lighthouse photo look sharky as hell.

Glad you guys made it out alive and in one piece.

Don't know if I would be fishing the salt after something like that. Long mental recovery and memory.

Polaris attack even in shallower water. Looks like the shark lead with the uppers. Probably a good thing it didn't get its teeth stuck in the plastic.

That shark was expecting to chomp into some soft blubber.
With the speed he was traveling when he hit that hard plastic I bet he felt like he got punched in the mouth.

Glad to hear you are OK Harry...Fished that same reef 3-4 weeks ago, similar conditions....that reef is really a group of pinnacles and valleys ranging from anywhere, tide dependent, 15-30ft deep. And the entire area has similar terrain, perfect fish habitat. Perfect for Big Fish too. By the way one week after our excursion my buddy was out and got the drive-by...said it scared him bad. My bet it was his last trip to fish Pigeon alone....This place is the "Mavericks of Kayak Fishing"....

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and thanks for the continued positive vibes. I spoke with Harry last night and he is doing as well as can be expected. I also spoke with Ralph, the shark research guy, Harry is going to get him some more measurements so he can estimate the size better.

A friend sent me this, only thing is who is my friend Sean Walker? Not predatory? WTF? Ralph says no doubt it was predatory or territorial...

Glad you guys came out of this unscathed.......... SOB !!! Those are some serious bite marks!
I remember an old neighbor who was commercial Ab diving there in the early 80's helped drag a guy to shore DOA after whitey got him there at Pigeon Pt.

Hope not to have that happen, ....ever,but we all take that risk on the Ocean.
