At Tiki, I told Ben that the NCKA moderators agreed to ban him from the forum until he came back. But since we all have some Ben-Love in us, we decided that we would only allow him access to the "classifieds section"

I havent known Ben too long but in a small time frame he has made an impact.  From generous sharing of gear/food/art/music/good vibes, to teaching me all about "BURNING MAN", and how to catch critters any where he is, Ben you are truly a good dude and will do well no matter where you are or who your with. Our loss is certainly your family's gain.  When I first met Ben at Lake Del valle fish and chill he was shooting marbles with a slingshot into the lake, while MOOCH was trying to shorecast the frog for bass.  Mooch kept casting where the marbles would hit, thinking the bass were going crazy for his little frog        Ben you're the man, and always make a good time better!

My first intro to Ben was at my first event Albion 09' I had been out freezing my ass off OTW and in chestwaders just remeber Ben offering me a bowl of HOT soup... and it was like heaven!!! 

And every event I showed up at there would be Ben and his Guitar/guns/bows...  Yep Bro haven't know ya that long but seems like it...got any bruiseage from Tiki??? I do...

What I like about Ben is the way he's always smiling. Always giving to others. When we were all out on lake Sonoma once Ben took hot dog orders at the ramp via VHF and brought out a steaming hot weenie to all who wanted one.

Ben, you are an all-around solid dude and I'm glad we got to hang awhile!

My favorite Guitarzan moment:

I had been watching a seagull with a plastic bag wrapped around one leg.  He was obviously struggling with it, but was still quick enough that I figured no way was anyone gonna get close enough to catch him...  Meanwhile Ben had been quietly stalking the gull and suddenly struck like a cheetah, caught that sumbich bare-handed and had him freed up licketly-split.  I was an impressive display of skill, patience, and compassion.

So bummed. we'll miss you out here on the left coast Ben. Some of my fav Ben interactions:

-learning how to make an "ohlone-style" pee tube from bull kelp
-musing on how to build a smoking implement into a two piece spinning rod
-seeing Ben paddle up at Elk with that lingosaurous that won him a new yak
-celebrating Ben's birthday fishing at Bean
-sharing stories of "our" shark around the campfire @ lake sonoma

I've still got the worn down arrowhead you gave me dude. a great memento.
