My worst offense was leaving a baggie of pileworms on the porch one summer.  By the time I discovered them, they had turned into a nasty brown liquid, no solid pieces at all.

I think both Danglin and I can beat those stories:

there is nothing quite as unique as a human corpse smell, and I will be nice and leave at that.

Yeah whatever you do, dont put a live anchovy in your buddies beer can (wide mouth can makes it easier if you do) while he isn't looking or else he will put a dead one in your fishing backpack. Then you find yourself digging through your gear a week later trying to find out what that smell is. :smt005

Lanya I did that to myself one time back home actually, one of da e'e' jumped out of da bucket in my pathfinder and got stuck behind a box in the back and we went to Saipan for da flame tree festival. My wife was pissed cause the smell didn't go away for weeks.

I have 2 cats.  My garage always stinks of rotting rodent.  Where they hide those things, I can't tell, until one day I turned the dog loose in there.  He finds 'em fast!  Of course his breath is like death for a bit after, but worth it I think....
This year I decided to keep a scoreboard for the cats.  So far this year; 22 voles, 18 mice, 12 birds, 3 lizards.   That's just what I've found in the garage.  Who knows what else they've killed and not brought home.
