Took a stroll around Mildred on Sat to see if we could find any stripers and only came up with some lmb and catfish. Its clear that the big fish have not moved in yet based on the Benicia reports.

The main thing I wanted to post was safety. It was foggy in the moring and a lot of bass boats out there, all afternoon Donzi's and cigarette boats topping 50 mph graced the sloughs, so if you anchor next weekend, or not, be careful as they come up on you quick. And oh yeah, its the duck season opener so likely a lot more boats!

Thanks for the update. I went fishing all day in the Montezuma and was only able to land 1 keeper all day. Didn't see many boats on this end of the Delta. Hopefully this weekend it will be rainign and no boat tourneys. See all up here this weekend.

I know, everyone who watched us launching asked if we were going salmon fishing and we got the glossed over look when we said we're after stripers.  :tongue11:

There always seems to be some residents around so I am sure some will be caught, its just figuring out where they are, better tides will help.
