Bodega Bay HOW Crab Fest 11/19 CANCELED!!!!

Alrighty then... ill cover the bait for all my gear i cant promise any more than that untill i talk to the butcher at safeway and see if she will hook me up with some more rotten salmon filets

No fires allowed on the beach. we could have a fire in a weber in the picnic area right behind the beach. That is where most of the hanging out will happen anyways.who can bring a weber and firewood? we are going to need multiple e-z ups and many crab pots with bait jars and bouys. We probably need to set one e-zup with walls and carpet and propane heater as a changing room. I have an e-zup with walls but we need a propane heater and 10'x10' of astroturf. Unless they change on the bus or in the bathroom. The bathroom is a  cold place. I can probably bring ten fully rigged crab pots(5 from my neighbor), 2 kayaks with paddles and pfds,all the equipment and fix ins for breakfast burritos. We also need people to bring their crab cookers,ziploc bags and a lot of ice to cool the crab after cooking.Chad, bring your cutting board. Are the sherifs gonna make lunch?

I can cook the crab, while the guys are on the water. I won't be able to bring my truck since I have to take off later in the day in the corolla. I can cook them as they come in and have them cleaned in Zip-lock bags. I think with Chadrocks setup we would be fine. I don't expect it to get to crazy out there. If we cut and clean before steaming we can do about 10 crabs per 20 minutes. If we had another pot I guess we could do double that.

Been a bummer today thinking about canceling/postponing...

That all sounds good, I guess I should start to log in what we have and keep the faith...

Not sure about the Sheriffs yet..  Frankfishing's department....

but if it goes south, we'll just get hotdogs etc... simple lunch...

Clavey River sports is lending us 6 to 8 wetsuits and a dozen splash jackets, I have also purchased a dozen booties for HOW from Clavey on a great special deal..

Great job Don lil typo its 7 rings from me. 4 seems to be the magic number 4 is perfect time to pull and check them all then when you get to number 4 its time to go back to number 1. so basically ill be bringing 3 extra,

   Truck is loaded,,, crab cooker, etc...   Ohhh yeah !     I'm sooo ready for this.

Not sure if I can make this one; haven't made any arrangements (campsite) to put the RV in; if anyone has an extra site I can put my RV in...please let me know.... I don't plan on kayak... maybe helping out in the kitchen... there's a rumor out there that I know my way around one....

Not sure what we have coming just yet... extra vehicles need to park in the day use area anyway... maybe we can put yours into one on the sites...

keep posted as we work this out...

Its only $6 for an extra car, so I would say that whoever has a campsite let Glen pull in to that site. Its not like the parking is far. There is also parking next to the bathrooms in the Jetty parking lot.

Just checked... I was not sure if a RV could go into any site and they can...

so G-Whiz, if your good to go, I'm sure we'll put into mine or Bigfoots...

Robyn I and the boys have been planing on making it out there to help. Don't know what we can do but what time do you need us. It can only be a day trip for us.  I have to look through the dive gear to see what I have avail and do some rigging on the crab pots to get  them ready.

Your in!!!, we have about 20 people on the list saying thier coming... some are of that day... so I think we have room for anyone who wants to camp Friday.... 16 total

There are also first come sites and with the weather changing a bit, might be possible. If all else fails, there is also the state beach... 

We have to clear the our sites by 12, unless someone gets one of the first come first served ones....
