Andy, we put a firewall in place so that you cannot see the video unless you actually signed up and paid, got your wrist band, and took the blood oath to never repeat the details!

Family camping trip in Bodega bay. Conditions were rough out there and the red tide was something out of a Hollywood movie :smt009 Down in Bodega Sunday, vis was a few inches and filthy looking. Dead birds all over too. What a SMELL! Thanks for the Video sorry Andy :smt044 I saw it toooo!!! Funny!!!! Who needs a head light :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

What an event.  Great time had by all.  I think its kind of like the 60's they say if you can remember them you weren't there.  :smt002

Team Something was 'On a Boat' here's a little photo montage of our outing.

Here's the rig shortly after arrival.  I only put it up to show the complete JWR is on the hull Friday night.

Here's NovatoDave getting his patented fish annoyance device ready.

At 1st light we did drive out to the cliff to launch and played our theme song 'I'm on a Boat' to all of the furbags on the rocks.  Getting them down that cliff was one thing but I'm sure glad we didn't try to come home that way.

T-Dub

A view of the Barn from the water

NovatoDave hooked up (I think it was to the State of California though)  Notice spray coming off the rock in the background.

The just repaired 'R' was wounded going down the cliff along with a dozen other new scratches. Oh well it's plastic  It's JWP again.  Luckily IRoeLikeThat had given me some spare white material to fix it.

The crowd just warming up

Sunset on the appetizers with Johnny's oyster grill sizzling away.

Evidence of the finely engineered pyrotechnics display.

All quiet the next morning... Then Sledge got up  :smt003

T-Dub looking for his lost brain cells.

Jeff demonstrating his Darth Vader outfit for Sledge and Mooch.

Safely home at NovatoDave's still laughing about WTF went down 'On the MFíng Boat!'.

This will be a permanent fixture on Team Something's calendar from now on.

You people are the best.

GOOD NEWS - Monday AM, Back up to the RBC, NovatoDave's wetsuit hanging on the fence, YES!

NOT GOOD NEWS, BUT BACK ALIVE - Sledge & Joe (Bloodbath) still there at the Barn. Joe's yak sank yesterday afternoon late and they emergency rescued themselves back to shore on Sledges' Hobie. Joe lost it all, we've got to help our NCKA Brother Bloodbath "rebuild" - donation request in process.

More details to come once Joe and Mike have a web connection.

Stay tuned...

That was last November's Tule Lake mallard contributed by NovatoDave and cooked by JWR.  1st you start with a hefty sized duck.  Just split it up the back, spread it out then flatten it out (like your whole body weight on your hands flat).  Score the skin so it vents.

Cook it breast side down 1st for 7 or so minutes based on temperature until its really browned well then flip it over for 15 or 20.  Keep an eye on it but you can't really hurt the inside so cook it well.
