VallejoDave, Daviator, and I spent 10 hours on the AR hunting/trolling for the King but none of us got any lucks there.  Not a good day catching but we enjoyed the weather and scenery.  I spent over 3 hours scouting/exploring the river from Watt's bridge to the bridge on J's Street passing several rapids on the way!  Saw Adam while he's walking on the Footbridge and he gave me some tip on a deep hole near the pump house so I worked that area for half-an-hour but no love for me today.  Want ot spent more time there but decided to get back to the launch before the other Loose Screws calling to report "missing kayaker"  :smt003 since I've been gone for over 3 hours and neither of us can contact each other via the marine radio!  Here are some nice scenery pictures along the AR.

Thanks for this report, Sonny - I needed some scenery pics.  Not that I'm glad you didn't catch a fish, but it's nice to see some scenery.   :smt001

Good luck on your next attempt.

Thanks for your appreciation Eric.  While we're anchored fishing, we saw lots of "jumpers" and "rollers" but unfortunately no "takers"  :smt005

looks like a very nice day out there some fish would be a bonus  but just gives some incentive to get back at it

Love that DIY bimini / wind drift chute! Thx for sharing. I was out there today, and there was decent surface action, but no takers after 9am.

Nice pictures Sonny, you've got a knack for capturing the essence of the quality time us yakers share. Thank you Adam for the OTW tips may be just the ticket, next time. Dave, glad you fixed that battery connection and got your wheels rolling Monday morning. Thanks for the treats Sonny and Dave. Love that Tommy Bahama shade. An exact fit to a Hobbie scupper hole, use some noodle as a stopper. Secure it, otherwise a wind gust will cause it to fly out. Thanks Dave for fetching while I was at anchor.

Thanks for the report Sonny.  Bummer about the skunk.

I hope to be able to join the Screws (and maybe put you on some fish :smt002)  when you next fish the American.
