Got to SWS around 6:20am with ccup, it was still pitch black outside.   Ggibson and Hunterlee show up, and we head out.  We picked a random spot and jump in.  Vis was terrible, and the deeper you got, the darker it became.  First spot we dropped down to was around 40', but it was DARK, spooky dark.  We all agreed it wasn't worth diving that area, so we started to head into a shallow area.  Vis slightly got better, but still wasn't any fun.  Ggibson used his new speargun and shot a ling in a hole, but the power of the gun, penetrated deep and he and ccup wasn't able to retrieve it.  Ggibson called it for the day, because his anchor also got stuck.

I decided that I was getting cold and that it wasn't that fun diving in these conditions and asked ccup to hitch a ride with hunterlee on his tandem.  ccup insisted that I stay out and that we would just work our way in.  (shrugs)  I toss the gopro back into the kayak, since I got no love on it and gear back up.

I drop down with 4' vis and spook something off to my side, I quickly turn my gun and aim for the shadow and shoot.  Booyah, my first cabbie at 15.5", at the same time ccup comes up with a MFPB and hunterlee with rockfish.

I use the Aeris F10 v2, I have my thresholds set to 40, 50, 60ft, its user programmable.
