,,,,hmmmmmm, you must know a secret.  :smt002

Nop - Just found out from Jim rock cod season closed from Nov thr end of Mar.  There are lot more for the newbee to learn. :smt011

Got the Raptor from Jim over the week-end, a Navy Gray color.  We spent some time custom build the motor mount and came out just perfect.  Jim is quite something.  Next is VHF with build in GPS - I have my eyes on Standard Horizon HX850S just over $200.  Any suggestions ?  After that is a fish finder, I'd rather get a compact one.

I will be heading for ARW ( Alameda base) for the initial try in both calm and some how windy days to get to know the Raptor.  However, I may head for the Bodega Bay inlet for a 6 mile leasure kayaking from Vallery Ford to Bodega Bay if tide and friends can all be lined up properly.

Yes, I understand a good pic or a clip worth more than 1K words.  Cheers

Hare are some pic of my motor and place like this is where I enjoy my summer:
The solar panel puts out 45W. Took me only 6 hours to full from around 30% of capacity.

I was just chking the solar out it was saying you can recharge on the fly...curious to know how that would work....where would a person mount the panel???  Thanks bro...the middle pic didn't load...been considering eVolve for my revo...people :smt005 when I mention it...but get 51 and be a busted up logger/roughneck and a grip of other things and you can appreciate the finer things in life...like getting the F in when your 5.5 miles out on the Strait of San Jaun DeFuca and the wind comes up the wrong freaking way :smt009 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Thanks for the info...

Yep - The 1st thing I looked was the motor options when I got back into kayaking. After I tried out Torqeedo, I know that's a nice oldman's ticket until can't walk.  I hope Torqeedo is the most reliable e-motor out there now. One pull, the motor is off the water completely and the reverse speed just as fast as the forward speed with my carolina 12. I had Carolina up to 10.5MPH on the lake with that motor.
