I was out there last night too on the bank and happen to witness and see this monster landed. Correction it was 46in. and estimated 40pds. WOW!.....I offered the guy $20 bucks to let it go and they said oh no! I said u better eat it all then! ATTENTION TO ALL STRIPER CHASERS FISHING THE AMERICAN RIVER: Please practice C&R on our native Mogan Stripers, these are the breeding fish of our fishery! If u must, keep only the fish 30in. and under. Ricci/Fishworks

Big stripers = fun to catch, lousy to eat.

18-25 inchers are the best to eat.

Cool of you to offer $ for the release - of course that guy wasn't going to let it go :smt009
Those fish are for photos only IMO.
Shoot - I felt bad keeping a 25" a few months back...

Good for you Ricci on the cash offer for release , to bad he did not release it . My Son and I let ALL females go or if we cant tell , anything over 28 inches . Whats a  Mogan Striper , never heard of them called that before ?

Stripers hitting that well , it might be a good idea to carry a couple of your favorite striper lures , beats a salmon skunk ! When life deals you lemons make lemonade .  :smt003

That's a monster striper. What did the guy get it on???
Wanted to hit it this evening but the Gf surprised me after work by showing up as I was walking out the door.
Said she wanted to buy me a beer.
That was at 3:00. It's 8:46 and I just walked in the door.
Otherwise...I would have been there.
