Launched off the beach at MBK at 9am, fished the kelp beds in front of Cannery Row and the aquarium. Sunny from the start, winds were ok. Beautiful day out there. Did well on the usual rockfish, plus one pretty nice Ling. Had some fun with a school of Jacksmelt towards the end of the day as well. All fish released. Can't complain!

Nice!  Great contrast to a recent discussion on another board about how many limits guys can legally have in their freezers...   :smt001

Sum qualit olives there! Nice. On the long rod too. Very nice. I call em the "saltwater smallies" Using a clouser type bug I assume?

Thanks guys! Yep, the Olives came on either a craft-fur clouser minnow (size 4), or a 1/0 chart/white half & half (half clouser, half deceiver). Ling was on the spinning rod.

I love Olives too - definitely seem to be the most willing fighters outside of a Ling, and beautiful fish..."saltwater smallies"! Haha, nice :smt001
