Sounds like some people here got what they wanted. The fishery in Sonoma is now closed through the year. I don't see why they had to close Sea Ranch and Gualala. Mendo is going to see some pressure now. My guess is this emergency closure will be used as serious ammo by the greens to further restrict next year's season.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

If hundreds and hundreds of dead rockfish were washing up on the shores, I'd support a rockfish closure.

ya but they would open it up next year. I doubt you will ever see ab season open again on the Sonoma coast.

You cats know a lot more about that than I do, but shutting it down for good would definitely be pretty lame. I definitely do not agree with that.
