I went hunting with the camera, placing it near a popular wallow. Not much traffic, but some. This 1st one was a big boy!
They rubbed mud on the camera body.

Pig number 2. I think a smaller boar. The camera must have spooked it as it looks like it raised dust as it abrubtly ran off.
I also got a pic of a little forkie.

Do you have that cam on a pole or is it strapped to a tree?
You definitely have it in the right place.
I put mine out last night and all I got was this fox. Twenty minutes after I set it up and it continued to cross this area all nght long.
The cam must have slipped a little because that part of my yard is not sloped at all.
Gotta love the game cams.  :smt003

These things are way cool!  I have have about 1/2 acre redwoods, fur and tan oaks, I know deer meander through my yard all the time, as do skunks, and coons,  I wonder what esle may be lurking?  I'll have to start saving $$ for one!

Tote, this time the camera was sort of strapped to a tree. Sometimes I just put it on the ground though. It all depends on location and whether I need to lock it up.
It takes some doing and experience to find a good spot. This last time the camera took hundreds of pics of grass swaying in the breeze.

Cool Pictures Guys....keep them coming.  I have a big can that all my spare change goes into and as soon as it's to the top with coins I am going to get a quality game cam. I bought a cheapo two years ago to catch some lowlifeers at my shop but ended up returning it.

Finally cashed in my spare change jar and picked up two used cameras. Both included two camera cards and one came with a steel "bear proof" housing. Patrick and I put them out in the neighbor-woods last night for a test and .....

Just got a C note from my company for my work in Israel, I'm thinking maybe I should get my critter cam now?  Without searching for them online at the moment, what brands should I stay clear of?  I'm thinking I'll look at BPS first, maybe Cabela's next?

I got mine new on ebay. $137 delivered instead of the $199 everyone else was charging. Cabelas and Bass Pro Included.

You are right about  tons of cameras out there. I went with the same camera as Juan's as his is tried and true. Saw a two  on The Archery Talk forum from earlier this year on an old post...pm'd the guy and he still had them at a great deal including four sd cards and even one bear resistant housing all for less than the price of one new one. Can't wait to get them up to Lake Sonoma in the next couple of days...time to take a hike.
