With the weather being so poor, I’m staying in and getting ready for rockfish.  I don’t put as many layers on my flies, but they work just as well if not better than the ones I’ve bought.  I’d love to see everyone else’s!

I'll post some later when I have a chance to dig it out of storage.

Good looking flies, are those on a #1 hook? do you fish them on the surface or weight them down.  I've fly fished in lake and rivers, but haven't tried in the Ocean yet.

They're on size 3/0 Eagle Claw open eye hooks I got a good deal on, on Ebay.  I have to close the eye myself, and sharpen them, but I've caught loads of fish with them so it's worth the extra work I guess.  1-4 oz weight on the bottom with 2-3 dropper loops for the hooks, fished on the bottom over structure.

Thanks, I like tying flies too, may need to try these out...larger hooks easier on the eyes :) (compared to trout flies)
