Just a reminder,
We are about one week away from the Caples Lake event.
If you are planning on joining the fun at Caples or have friends or family wanting to join, now is the time to get on the list. This is a beautiful lake in the Sierras approx 30 min. from Lake Tahoe, near the Kirkwood Ski Resort. We have also been offered a screaming deal on accommodations at the Rockstar Lodge http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,32609.0.html
There is also a camping facility near the lake for those who wand a more rugged adventure.
If you are looking for a nice place to spend the last weekend before the kids head back to school This is it.
The reports on the fishing have been spectacular and the weather is looking perfect.
If you have any questions regarding this event feel free to contact me through this post or with a PM.

See Ya There,
Eric / Yakhopper

Many children will have already started.  My school starts Wednesday, August 17th.  :smt010  :smt011

But message not lost, come to this event.  I've heard lots about this lake over the years and am really looking forward to fishing it for the first time!

Will one of those be mine? I paid for one before the MBK Derby and I didn't see anybody who had them.

Just thought I would throw this out there for those who are staying at the Rockstar Lodge.
The building has 6 condos and each condo had 4 rooms for a total of 24 rooms - But, there is 1 bathroom per condo. Now I'm no math genius, but that means that if you are filling each room with 3 guys (and possably a few women) that is going to make for some crowded bathrooms in the am :smt005
I understand that having 3 per room comes to $16.67 each per night, but if you cut it to 2 per room it is only $8.33 more per person and you have a much less conjested morning situation.
Again it is just a thought ... but at these prices I would say "Spread out and relax".

Another thought:
Jamie has been very generous with the price and has set the whole place aside for us and it would be nice if we could fill as many rooms as possable.
I will be booking a whole condo just for the convenience of having a bathroom for myself and the family :smt002
