Definatley a speargun in the near future :smt007
Any seggestions on the best (most dependable) gun
Don't want too long but want to be able to reach a few feet at least

75 cm Euro Gun. Allows you to hole hunt and shoot suspended schools of fish. I love my Hammerhead Evolution. Mako and Riffe also have nice ones from what I've heard. You could also go a little longer (80-90) or shorter (60-70) depending on your reach, hunting you'll be doing, and visibility.

I like 2-band guns in most instances, equipped with two 16mm bands. I only load one when I'm hunting free-swimming and holed-up rockfish and it still gives me more than enough power to go through the fish without damaging my shaft. If I'm hunting spooky blues or olives higher up in the water column, then I'll load the 2nd one to get more power over a longer distance and stun the fish better. Also, if one band breaks or has a wishbone break, you still have the 2nd as a back up.

Eric, you got a steal of a deal! Only thing.....if the gloves are really 5ml and not 3ml then I found 5ml was a little too thick for ab diving but I don't know anything about spearing. jim
