Albion Open 2011 results and thread

Congrats to the winners and thanks to Craig for all of his hardwork in organizing this event.  Craig I am sorry I did not make it back to the weighin or party, but, something came up and I mean literally came up.  My bro and I set out early and started fishing around 6 am and in the first half hour I had already caught 8 fish.  Then my brother comes over and tells me he is feeling sea sick and I tell him to let me know if he needs to go back in.  We keep fishiing and about ten minutes later I land a 27" ling and as I turn to show my bro I notice that his head is bent over his yak and he is chumming.  I released the ling back into the water telling it I'll be back for you next year when your biigger and told my bro lets go back in.  I take him back to his house at the ranch and let her wife wipe his chin, change his diaper, and cover him with his blanky, while I went out and split wood.

LMAO!  Have had the same experience with my bro!  (minus the splitting wood part)

Sorry to hear that Terry. He could have filled back up at the potluck. The ocean was glass on Sunday. Go figure.

Thank you Craig and Linelle for an amazing event.  So much has already been said so I'm not sure what else can be said but it was an absolutely incredible event.  Words can't describe the experience.  You really have to experience it to appreciate it.  Thanks!!!!

Omg the food was off the hook. Where do I begin:oysters,crab,Albion stew,don't know how to spell abalonie piaaia,tri tip ham and beans, Laotian rice.various Pillipino delights. Bean dip guack  Absolutely amazing. Next year I'm taking the entire week off..

The only thing missing was a fresh bottle of Albion pale ale!

Thank You Craig, Linelle, and everyone who help put this event together....what a great time it was! Congratulations Scott/GB2  on a terrific First Place stringer! Being so busy fishing, eating, and chatting it up with all the NCKAers and families I forgot to take many pictures but this one says it all....

Congrats to all the winners and those who gave it there all . Scott nice new ride you got there looks like it might be your new bass boat .

i had so much fun i didnt even get to go fishing! too much beer at Rockroaches campsite HAHA! O well ill catch up on my fishing this week

everything was great , the food , the laughs , camradarie...all to be expected at an NCKA shindig , my mom kept commenting on how nice and freindly everybody was and im like " mom it only gets better as you continue meeting new people"

i ended up having some great neibors ( i do every event) mudshark , birddog , bwodon , brandi & 9nerfan + his family

Big thanks to Craig and Linelle for all the hard work and sacrifice they put into this event , my family had a blast!

BTW, I can't remember all the names from this weekend, so I won't try and name anybody.

I just love NCKA... thanx to Team Ravensblack for all the hard work, lots of fun hanging with everyone, doing the fishprints, jamming on the guit-fiddle for whoever wanted to hear, and I want to personally thank all the Cabazon in the sea, you guys have been very good to me, $510 for this one, and I took $300 at the Half Moon Bay derby a few years back, maybe because Ive released some Fatty Bean Cabbies over the years...
And thanx to the Leepins for stealing my kayak on Sunday morning, that was kind of funny:) LMFAO...

One of the NCKA Brothers gave me a couple of home brews to taste at Albion and due to my acute CRS I don't recall his screen name.  In addition to saying thanks, I have some feedback on the brew if you can give me your screen name.  Sorry for the thread jack but I'm hoping the person will be reading the Albion thread.
