I was thinking of launching out of Buck's. The wind will be blowing from the SW making it at our back's on the paddle back, but I don't know how far I'd have to paddle to get out of the channel there during that low morning tide.

What area did you plan on fishing? Some Coastsiders reported a couple of sturgeon caught in the Honey Hole area last week-end. Unfortunately I stayed in the flats for most of the morning.

Erik, didn't you also mention Saturday's tides are the kind you look for when fishing the Blackpoint area?

Black Point would be my bet to fish the incoming tide this time of year.  I think it would be a better bet than bullhead flats and you could always duck into the river mouth if the wind got rough.

I'm on lockdown this weekend, but hope you guys get some action.
