Fished from 7am to noon pretty much under the bridge on the palo alto side.  water was very flat and no wind.  weather was great and pulled in 2 bat rays that must have gone #30 each +  1 small shark.

Can you share some pictures if you had taken them? 30# Bat Ray is impressive.

yeah, they're big boys all right!  i usually don't bring camera because it would be difficult to snap a shot without some help.  i don't lift them out of the water past their heads because 1. they are so damn heavy and 2. i don't want to get jabbed by the flapping stinging barb on its' ass.  but here's a photo of a nice bat ray from last year up on the pier and a pretty big leapard shark from the pier as well.  it's a lot more fun in a kayak though.
