I'm down for it !     Hell yeah.
I can go the 2nd week in July.... but that might be too late.

Chuck, you mean the weekend of the 9th/10th?

I can probably swing that...
I can likely get do that weekend.  I just need to check with work.  I might even be able to Friday/Saturday/Sunday like Nudling.

The weather looks good so it's roll call time!

Tentatively, I'm heading down Thurs. afternoon and coming back Sun. afternoon.  The wife has given the green light to hunt for yellowtail... I assume that she meant otw only.  :smt044

I'm still working on Getting Friday off.

If I can swing it I'll leave early Friday morning and will be returning Sunday evening.

Wed Through Sat
Wind variable 10 kt or less. Wind waves 2 ft or less. Mixed swell W 2 ft at 9 seconds and S 2 ft at 13 seconds.

OK, I'm 90% in. Just waiting on clearance from the GF, which is almost never a problem.

I'm going to post a proper Hook Up on the hook up board.

Just got off the phone with Nate "spinal tap" who is down south right now.  The WSB bite is on.  There are squid boats working La Jolla right now.  The crazy thing is that the more successful guys are going out on kayaks at night between 10pm and 3AM.  They're fishing with live squid under the bright lights near the hotel.

I'm game to chase ghosts at night if that's what it takes.  Sounds a bit spooky though.

I'm game to fish with the more successful guys, but would rather launch into a little daylight instead of 10.  That ankle slapper could have a bigger brother right behind him.

I saw a thread that said they're giving away free YT in LJ and all you have to do is show up *sarcasm*... who's in?!

Wish I could join ya,
Unfortunatley this work thing keeps getting in the way.

The night fishing is off the hook - I usually stay in S.D. a couple extra days after the intrepid trip and head out at night for Lobsters (season happens to open a day or so before we get back) the swell is usually calm in that area and there are many different species to tangle with.

Good luck and don't forget to take lots of pics.

See Ya Soon,

Just a few :smt044... it'll be worth it!

Depends on when you're leaving and if you hit traffic. My target is 7-8 hours starting at 3:30PM.

It usually takes me about 8 hours from Santa Rosa.

My truck needs to have its shocks replaced and I'm not sure if I can get it done today. Trying SUPER hard to make this happen, but I'm not sure if I can make it now.  :smt010

If I don't see you guys have fun and good luck!

I hope you get your shocks fixed in time. If not, no worries - there are always other opportunities.

Rey, we plan on fishing Fri-Sun with breaks in between.

Chuck convinced me to bring the whole setup instead of just 1 ama and I'll be staying at the Hotel Honda Element.  :smt006

Unfortunately, I'm packed and ready to leave in a few hours.  Rey has an open spot - anyone want to carpool? YT, WSB... oh my!
