it was this day last year that chuckE and nailed fish at brickyard (20 each I think).

Paddled out of one of my favorite launches into chocolate milk for water, turned west past a buddies house, and into an industrial area- where the water was clear and warm.  Got a 26"er on the x-rap casting, then a 22"er a bit later.
Chatted with a friend who was leaning over the railing at the shoe repair- while fish busted the surface behind me!
paddled back for zero more.
Picked up bait and paddled out at bullhead flat for the incoming tide...another striper on ghost, a couple of more striper style hits...

the fish are here, its just a bit too cloudy to find 'em in good numbers yet.  I'll be over at Paradise today, same plan- looking for fish, but mostly just paddling

Good to know you have a good day. Where is the place if you'd like to share? Trolling is more effective than anchor?

ahh jeez...share the location...since I'm feeling a bit surly today, why not make it a scavenger hunt of sorts.

get our your google earth.
Look for the marina that houses "The world's greatest bait shop" (Loch Lomond). That's the launch. The fish were caught behind Trader Joe's...which is a couple of miles paddle back toward 101 from that marina.
I caught both on the cast.  But marked them on the troll.  If you catch the 35lber that you might see cruising in a couple of feet of water in there, throw it back- not only is the thing disgusting (eating mostly chicken parts and crab from KFC next door), but its been there a long, long time.

yah-- i started out much more cryptic-- then just figured what the heck...

after just getting in out of the rain, I will say that there is another place that also has some nice fish now...that one you'll have to find.

Some of you dogs probably can guess where it is.  And if you remember i'm doing a big remodel you get a second clue.  The rest you have to guess. Outlfows are good, emptying basins are good.  If you don't get it in a week, I'll PM it (though the fish might be gone by then) :)

Hey, Mooch - Sharks tend to follow people snoring alot.  The approach you described may not work well. -- No question here.  :smt002

Steve, I live right there and would love to hook up to fish the canal/marin islands/brickyard sometime.  Work/kids/little league etc. keep me from the water a lot, but I think it's time to get back into it.  I belong to the Marin Yacht Club (I think I'm the only regular member with only a kayak!) and we can launch from there as well.  Maybe Sunday morning?

I'm planning on fishing sunday, but not sure where yet.  I'm thinking one last sturgeon try, before i hang up the anchor and go striper and perchin.

Probably can't get out on the water any earlier than 8, but PM me if you are interested
