Hey everyone. I'm looking for some advice for this weekend.  My girlfriend and I are heading north after work on Friday. We want to camp somewhere quiet and peaceful, and I want to get up in the morning and catch rockfish.

I figure it'll be a somewhat busy weekend, so I'm wondering where we're most likely to score a spot? And where would be quietest (no RVs idling, or generators grinding away).

Any advice?

If you are lookign for a peaceful camping then probably the best option is Salt Point state park. You can launch a kayak fairly easy there and should be able to get on some fish quickly. Ocean cove is the next option for camping but finding a peaceful location can be difficult here but I am never one to look for that. Much nicer launching and I love the option of group camping without a group camp site. Timber cove has very little camping and not sure if it is worth it but one of my favorite launch sites though when just fishing and diving. Hope this helps you out.

You can camp at Allen's but if fishmaster1 or   MontanaN8V show it won't be quiet. then launch at fort or timber

I think I am going to go with Stillwater Cove for the camp-and-fish.

I have not fished that far north.  I plan to bring an assortment of swimbaits, scampi, and some iron (up to 6 oz). How deep do you guys fish out there for nice sized reds?

I'll also have an apex with me, just in case ;).
