Hello all, I don't have my VHF yet but will have one on my next trip out.. so do you guys use such talk on your talkie's out there? thanks.

I don't know about phonetics, but if you go to an NCKA/Yakhopper fishing event you will hear enough lying over the VHF's to send everyone to hell!  All in good fun, and very funny!

  You guys are freakin' hilarious man .  I guess I'll be in tune with the lies/ stories when I get my VHF then.  I was thinking more like "what's your 20" but I guess "where the hell are you?" is fine 

"10 codes" are for the cops man. The rest of the world uses plain text. Just say what ya gotta say. No need to conceal what your transmitting over the radio.
