Going to try for some mercury laden fish on Sunday!!!!  Hopefully some C&R LMB.

Company Welcome.  Will be launching from Calero Stables (free), rather than the main area where you have to pay.

Directions:  Go past the main launch ramp maybe a couple miles and turn into Calero stables.  Its sort of hidden, but where the road sort of ends or looks like it turns into a private area is a small levee on the right side.  On the other side is the water.

I'm bringing my daughter and a cart.  Trying to launch around 9, maybe a little later depending on her.

driving a Black Tahoe, paddling navy blue Malibu Tandem.

Fred is working, but the mooch is supposedly coming.

Perhaps I will bring my older boy and we'll try our hand at LMB C&R fishing
tomorrow.  we'll be in a giant white dodge pickup, yum yum yellow scupper pro TW.  :smt004

are you casting or trolling? or some of both?

JM,
I hope the water's not too cloudy and the wind is down.  I plan on casting, parallel to the shoreline.

I'll be launching on the very SW side of the lake where the lake gets really narrow (horse stables).  Its pretty flat and shallow there.  I think its a little early for the spawn, but I'll probably use rubber worms on the bottom, toss rattle traps or perhaps spinner baits.  My daughter will have a nightcrawler under a bobber.  I don't think we'll troll.

Also, straight out across from the launch, on the opposite bank, its steeper and rockier.  Done decent there too.

Looking forward to meeting you and your son.

thanks for the tips stuart.  It would be nice to catch something, but fun to go exploring a bit anyway.

Thanks for the article John.  It's promising and I hope we share some success.

If you get a chance, call me on my cell before you get there and we can try to hook up.  Joel is coming to my house around 8:30.  If I can get my daughter ready, we should be there by 9.

Logging off the rest of the night,

Stuart
