Have lots of work to do on the boat this weekend but am looking to get the yak on the water Monday morning.  Thinking Shasta, upper McCloud arm but open to ideas.  Any takers?

I will let my Dad know. He just got a little fishing kayak and he has been itching to get out. He lives in Shingletown but comes to Redding almost every day.

I may be able to make that work, if I get my a$$ in gear and get some chores done on Sat. & Sun.
Are you thinking Hirz Bay or up to the McCloud bridge ? Time ?

I'd like to put in right at the bridge itself, try for some trout action and if that doesn't work head for the coves to pick up some bass. Meet at Phils at 7, fish until 2 or so?

Works for me, it might be kind of busy at the campground, but hopefully no one will block the launch site. Are you thinking minnows for the bass ?

Last time I was there ( Jan. ), I didn't get any trout love so I switched to plastics around the bridge pilings and landed 4 decent bass. :smt044

Aw man, fresh fish tacos sound awesome!  I'm hoping the bass should be on a full plastics bite, so that'll be my main tactic.  Then again I always have a tub of crawlers handy in case things get desperate!  See ya guys at in the morning, gotta go gear up!
