Made a new Friend and want to keep him out of trouble. Hope you will all get to meet him some day so will only tell you a little about him. He can tell his own story if he wants you to know.
He is from an(extremely) broken family. He makes sure he makes it to school everyday and does very well. He exercises and does kickboxing. He is 17 very quiet and very respectful , and loves the outdoors.
He carries a bible to school to remind him to stay out of trouble.
I am buying him a fishing lic. and getting him into a hunter safety class.
He is begging me to take him to the ocean.
He is about 5`4 140lb.
I would like to get a wet suit and gear for him.
I can only do this a little at a time so if you have stuff you can sell cheap that might work let me know. Thanks Brian

That's awesome. He's lucky to have a bud like you to mentor him. Good luck on the gear hunt.

So:

size 9 booties excellent cond,
gloves excellent cond. size small but they fit me at 180# so they ougth to be good for the kid,
and a mask, US divers, Costco special but it worked well for my son

I got a shorty suit that will fit 'em and some tackle. I'll be up your way a couple times in the next few weeks. Let me know if ya wanna meet up. I know what it's like up there for some of the kids: some parents up there are nuts; you know why.

I was 5'10"  @135# when I bought my 7mm fj's and jacket.  I have a skin in 3 ml vest 5ml hood too.  If he is going to us it well; it's his if he wants it.   It is a dive suit.  I might even have some old fins.  The gear is mint except for a small seam tear in the crotch where I tried the fj on at 165#.  It would be an easy repair if it's needed at all.  I'll bring it down when I pick up the jigs from you so he can take a look.

I've got plenty of odds and ends that I would be happy to give.

Put together a list of what's needed, cross off what you get as you get it, and let us fill in the blanks.

Proud to be your friend Brian...

Sincerely,

Jim
