I remember talking to Karen about this last year, she was looking to get out of it.  I had even talked to my wife about it and she said, uh...no.

Good for them...But man talk about big shoes to fill! I guess the 1st order will be the test! So Mark and Karen can come up here and fish now! We better chip in to get them some dry pants and tops!

Hook-1 was sold to Chad Hoover (author of Kayak Bass Fishing and otherwise thinks to be a gift to kayak fishing) and Chris Stewart Guess it all became official today.  I've made MANY purchases from Hook-1 in the past, and I think it's pretty lame that things will be moving from CA to the east coast. I liked getting orders fast...

But as Polepole said:

Why is it necessarily a bummer?  How do you know you wont get the same great service (or better!!!).  I'm sure Karen would only sell to someone who would take the same great care of her baby as she did.

Let's start with a positive attitude . . .

They were/are the best for us.......they got me a replacement Promar Net when mine took a dump(and i didn't even get it from them.) = 110 Class Act w/better than excellent customer service.
I planned to purchase a couple of $50 Gift Certs' for the PIF Raffle,,,,,,would that be a couple of needed items?
I wish them well, where ever they go!!  No other company stepped up when one of our founding forebrothers needed help.

The rumor is that Hook1 was sold to Chad Hoover (author of Kayak Bass Fishing) and Chris Stewart.  They are based out of the east coast and the same rumor is that Hook1 HQ will be moving back east.
