Thanks for sharing your story!  :smt002  Had a similar experience once in January.  Man, falling into COLD water is like getting socked in the stomach.  :smt009  Glad you fared well, and still caught some fish to boot!  :smt003

Yup, but it was a very uncomfortable fishing experience when you have water inside your farmer john suit while the wind is blowing.

Super Herb..It happens to the best of us..theres always a first time for everything...sorry for the lost of gear, look on the bright side you only lost a gear in the process of learning..not thy dear life I ate surf probably 3x already, but I learned to keep my gears safe..

Some words of wisdom from the man himself  :thumright: Thanks buddy!

Sorry about the lost gears bro but those things can be replaced. Glad to hear all
went well and nothing serious had happened to you. My first flip happened while
I was rockfishing Fort R. The swell was bad that day and I got sea sick. I tried to
hurl on the side of the kayak and I got broadsided by the steep swell. Next thing
I know I was in the water. I was very fortunate that others were near by and
they assisted me on getting back on my kayak. It would have been very difficult
on my own in that condition.

I was wearing my pfd. When I said I was hanging for my dear life I meant I was hanging on my kayak while it was still going sideways. I was trying to balance it back but wasn't successful.

I know the feeling..."I can save it, wait Icansaveit ICANSAVE... *splash*.

Randomness rules the universe. Perseverance is the only path to success..but luck sometimes works too.
