My whole ocean adventure started when one day I picked up a Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 XL for the family.  After buying it and taking it for a spin out in MBK, I felt that I had to figure out a way to use it more often, other than just sitting on top of the water. (due to that it was a lot of money for me to spend) After googling and running into NCKA, that is when my addiction started.  During the first year, all I did was research, and use my kayak for a dive board, spearfishing, sea urchins, abalone, crabbing, clams,  etc... I had no storage, cept some dry bags up top.

One of the hookups at HMB for crabbing, I gentleman came out of a RV and approached me.  The first thing he said to me was, " are you chaeki, I love your videos ".  That is how my friendship with G-Whiz started.  Now all we do is talk all day in chat during work hours... HAHAHHAHAHAHA  G-Whiz was complaining to me that my kayak was too simple, and I told him how I don't own any tools.  I only have a screw driver to change the batteries in my 4yr old son toys.  (I'm a software eng, what do you expect)  So 2 weeks ago, he helped me pick out some bare necessities and that is when the party began.

WTG on the rigging :smt004
I have fished from the same boat for 3 years and have it rigged much like yours.

Now you have tons of storage space  :smt003
Do you paddle from the center seat position?
Nice work guys!

BanjoTad,  What else do I see in your picture?

I paddle solo from the center, but also will have the full family on it next weekend, to test ride it.  Wife, Son, and myself.

Nice job guys! I have a bone stock Malibu2 that I often plan on at least adding a couple of hatches and a rod holder to, but somehow keep getting sidetracked. The 2XL is definitely gives you a litte more options though, with the center hatch (not available on my 2), and wider rails for the rod mount holders.

Im waiting for G-Whiz to do his outrigger, so I can have him do mine.

I want the lazy man tarp on it, so I can lay out, and have a margarita.

Great job guys. I got the new revo and would like to put a few holes in it but don't know where to start. Still gathering data so not to make any mistakes. Maybe you guys can give me a little push to drill that first hole.

You shoulda installed a couple of 6.5" Focals instead of the clear hatch covers.  :smt003

WTG guys - that's one creative idea.  I hope to see you fishing above the water more!

I'm a part time sweng myself and spend the rest of my time thinking of ways to get on the water.

Hey John,

If you wanna come by and puts some holes in it, Chaeki and I can help! "WE" are both starting up a kayak modification business on weekends, so we don't have to go to church walk-a-thons or spend time with the family.... oops, that's what we go kayaking for....

All kinding aside, if you wanna come by when you are ready, I could help... I just finished my Revo last week.... http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,30103.0.html
