Congrats on your first ocean trip. I am curious about the name dropnlax. Constipated or Los Angeles baggage handler??????? :smt003

Well the name was a quick thinking of what would be a good handler that best represent myself in fishing.. and I thought fishing is pretty much drop off the rig and relax :D

OK, I am new to this as well. I jumped into it with very little knowledge and have not had a good catch or a good fish yet. I have put in to Stillcove 4 times and skunked twice. I have begun my education with NCKA!

I think I'm finally getting the hang of my kayak enough to try actually fishing from it. I don't suppose any of you know of a good guide a little closer to the city? I'm in Oakland and I'm not really sure I trust my car and inflatable roof rack to make it all the way to monterey and back.

I'm a little bit of a special needs fisherman, though, seeing as how 1) I don't really know how to fish, and 2) I'm carting around in one of these: http://www.wolfgangbrinck.com/boats/tales/shortbaidarka.html, and I know how SIK-style boats are frowned upon here. Still, if anyone has any good recs for a patient guide closer to SF, I'd love to hear.
