I am looking to hit the delta next Monday. I have not fished this year due to the fact I am working 2 jobs. Are there Stripers anywhere? What my best bet for getting some fish?? We usually hit the Tuolumne , but it would be almost certain DEATH right now!!  Is the Delta also blown out??  Any comments or help is truly appreciated!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

For sure I'd say Delta area...  Spring run is going.   hit the middle river area, around the islands all the way downstream.  Trolling will be best bet right now.  Next Monday I might be able to make it. for sure I'll be hitting the delta this Sunday.   PM me and  I'll tell you how it went.

Guys are pulling up big bass right now. My recommendation would be going out 8 mile road and launching at King Island. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they charge to launch kayaks. Paddle North about a half mile to white slough. This area will have minimal to no run off right now and the fishing is usually good. I haven't heard much about the spring run this year but that could be another option. Let me know what time your heading out. I have monday off and would probably be able to make it.  :smt006

The delta bassin' scene is doing okay.  Water conditions are good.  Kings Island does charge for launching kayaks: $5, it's half the usual rate for boats though.

Bummer, I miss the old days when Marinas didn't know what to charge a kayak and they would just let us go. Then again it is nice to have a safe place to park a ramp, so I guess its fair. Like you said $5 is better than some places. Do you know of any other places in that area that are better for fishing and or cheaper to launch?
