After finding out my dive partner wasnt gonna make the dive I decided to go Over to the pier in Monterey. Good decision! Theres tons of bait balls right off the beach in Monterey right now by MBK. I bet theres lots of game giving chase! Could have stayed for hours and filled up buckets of Dines and Macks. Only stayed around an hour for some bait for the freezer. The Dines didnt make it to the freezer. :smt003. Non yak.

Mmm... good.  I love grilled sardines.  If ya wanna go native, just rub some sea salt and throw'em on the grill ungutted.  A lot of guys I know say it's better that way.  I'll enjoy them either way.

Looks like someone really enjoyed the fresh caught Sardines  :smt003  Thanks for the report and pictures Andy.  I was in Monterey yesterday visiting the in-laws.  Wish I've known...

AWESOME!
The grilled 'dines dish is on my list for this summer since I managed to miss the sardines each time I had ice & was prepared for them last year.
Looks delicious Andy!

I did grilled 'dines and macks a few years ago when they were thick in Tomales.
Nice grill shots!
