The Best/Most Popular Fishing Kayak Models?

About needing 2 boats for inland and coastal kayak fishing...
In the "old days", we rarely used to need 2 boats.  I think what happened is that several manufacturers started making really big boats between 14 and 16 feet that just don't have the same fishable comfort on inland fisheries as they do offshore.  I don't know if they were targeting big water anglers, heavier paddlers than the norm for kayak design or overcompensating for "stability".  Either way, not too many of the most popular models we consider look like they were designed for a 165# angler and lake trolling.  There is an exception to a handful of models we don't see much here on the west coast. The better part of my first 10 years OTW was in the original Scupper (not Pro) and it served me well in all salt and most freshwater situations.  But then again so did the 12' Scrambler XT and kayak fishing design has come a long way since then.  Within the RTM line, I think the Tempo, Tango and Disco will suit anglers who fit in them and are looking for a more traditional style kayak.  From the premier line, the Abaco is bi-fishery, the K Largo is not.
That said, big heavy anglers need a bigger boat for both fisheries.
