Lijiang was beautiful when I went there a little over 10 years ago, but not sure if the increase in tourism has changed it.  It might still be a tad cold now, but May was the perfect time.  If you have the time, check out what I call the 'geezer concert'.  It's an traditional music orchestra made up of guys in their 70s and 80s.  The real old ones just nap in the back.

Also a beautiful pearl river cruize  TodAy we are in Shenzhen. Going to a silk factoryand jade market. Sorry guys posting pics here is a real pain in the ass.  But the massage I had last night was only 125y. About 20 us. For 1.5hrs. Saw the splendid china show yesterday along with a fantastic Mongolian horse show. Believe it or not. The mongols invented the manteka fryer.  The cat is salty.  Jk.  Got silk jade another goodies. Jeff, you gotta get yourself a proper wok with a big ass burner so we can do stir fry. I have been thinking of getting one for my big burner. I was thinking of a 22inch made of 14 gauge carbon steel. I can only find them at the wok shop in s.f. What does Martin reccomend for a proper mobile wok and burner combo? How many btu's ?
