I was dismayed to learn they don't allow personal boats there—you have to rent and it's $45 for a half day for an electric boat.

That price is steep but I fish there during the week when the price is half off so 5 hours is $25 and all day is just a little more.  I have to take a day off to fish but it's worth it :)

Give me PM if you need someone to share the $25 and save more bucks.  I can take the day off once in a while.

If you don't mind me asking, what weight line and rod are you using? I normally start at 8 wt and go up depending on the location, but never having fished the Delta for stripers, and wanting to, i could use a few pointers from an experirenced local.
