We're staying in Kihei and doing a house swap, first time trying it and it's pretty cool.2 blocks from the beach, nice and quiet, big house, big views.
Free diving off reefs just off beach in 30 -40 ft,clear to the bottom. We saw lots of turtles and beautiful fish. Farther out lots of whales, awesome! Took some surfing lessons and did some boogie boarding and body surfing off makenna landing. That's were we met the Aquahunters, really cool folks!!!
Last night we went to a magic show in Lahaina,Warren&Annabelles, couldn't stop laughing for over 2 hours,OUTRAGIOUS,highly recommend if you get over here!!!
Going for a hike to trails with suspension bridges and zip lines today, then diving Molokini atoll later off a big catamaran.
I wish i was more tech savy so I could send some pics but will keep trying. Tsunami warning sirens just went off, hope it's just a test... gotta go...

DC,
If u can get a chance to visit Grand Wailea, pls do so. You'll enjoy it and the pool activities.
It's very close to Kihei.

My daughter and I dove Molokini a few few years ago. It was great being 80 feet down and watching the sharks cruise the reef above us. We also did a fun drift dive off some point (Red Hill or Makena).

We went with B&B out of Kihei. Loved them and will use them again someday.

Have fun!
