Hit send too soon. If you have a tent with shock cord type poles that you are throwing away grab the shock cord out of the poles for future use. It comes in handy for many things.

Thanks for all the advice.  This is what I did.  I added some thin rope make it easier to open.  I found some old thin bungee that I saved.  After I did this, I realized that I could have also used my daughter's hair things also.
