I cashed in some WAF and was able to upgrade my archery equipment to the current century.  My previous bow was a mid 1980's Golden Eagle Falcon Turbo "E"... I stuck a few critters with it over the years, but after shooting some of the new equipment, I got goosebumps and giggles and really saw the need to upgrade.  Maybe the Falcon will become a bow-fishing setup... we'll see.

I acquired a used 2010 Mathews Monster 7.0 and just got it sighted in to 40 yards in the past week or so.  Just in time for one more hog chase up at Lake sonoma (weather permitting).  Then some new strings will go on it before Turkey season.

I really want to chronograph this bow... it ought to be smokin with my 31 inch draw length at 70 lbs.  The closeness of the 20,30, and 40 yard pins attests to that already.  I'd like to eventually have 50 and 60 yard pins dialed in as well.

Here's the Monster.  Thanks to resident archery gurus Chuck, Stu, Juan and others for your help in scoping out my purchases.  So far I'm happy as a pig in... well... you know what.  Here piggy piggy!

-Mathews Monster 7.0
-QAD Ultra drop-away rest
-Spot Hogg Real Deal sight
- Mathews Focus grip
- Vortexx 4-arrow quiver
-I'm also shooting FOB's instead of fletching... they seem to work very well so far.  http://starrflight.com/
-I also picked up a Leupold Vendetta bow mounted range finder at the cabelas Bargain cave in MN for $150... couldn't pass it up.  (I have figured out a way to disable the potential use of the visible aligment laser to make it legal for hunting in Ca per my interpretation of the regs, so I'm not really interested in anyone else's opinion on this point :smt002).

Congrats on the new wife, I mean bow... :smt003
I know how you feel when I upgraded to the bowtech, sites and that same dropaway rest I could not believe the difference from my old alpine and bear whitetail,
My first deer at 25yds, double lung and the arrow still traveled another 50 yds.
Still my Hand made 68lb. long bow kicks ass too.
